🚰 What to do if there's a water or power outage in your area

An outage can be scheduled (announced maintenance) or a fault. Knowing which saves you time. Here's how to confirm it, report it and what to keep ready.

Step by step

  1. 1
    Check if it's scheduled

Check the list of water (AyA) or power (CNFL and co-ops) outages by province and canton. If it's listed, it's announced maintenance with a time window.

  2. 2
If it's not listed, it may be a fault

Check with neighbors whether it's general or just your home (it could be your breaker or water valve).

  3. 3
    Report it to the utility

Water: AyA at 800-REPORTE. Power: CNFL at 1026 or your co-op. Have your account or NISE number ready.

  4. 4
    Set alerts for next time

You can subscribe to get an email alert when an outage is scheduled in your canton.
