🚗 How to book your RTV (vehicle inspection) at DEKRA

In Costa Rica the technical vehicle inspection (RTV) is done by DEKRA. A booking is mandatory: no walk-ins. Here's how to book it and when it's due.

Step by step

Find out when it's due
The month depends on your plate's last digit. You can do it up to one month early.

Go to booking.dekra.com
It's the official booking site. You need your plate number and an email.

Pick station, day and time
Choose the nearest station and an available slot. Confirm and you'll get the receipt by email.
4
Bring the documents
On the day bring your ID, the vehicle title or circulation permit (marchamo up to date) and the car in good condition.
